    BETHESDA, MD, March 14, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Jennifer C. Byrnes, Registered Nurse for Bethesda Naval Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nursing.

Honored by Cambridge Who's Who as a VIP member in 2007, Ms. Byrnes specializes in orthopedic trauma care. As a registered nurse for Bethesda Naval Hospital, she works in the Navy-Marine Combat Trauma Registry. Ms. Byrnes reviews patient medical records and creates clinical abstracts of patient medical records in the CTR database application.

She also enters clinical abstracts of patient medical records onto an abstraction tool for entry into the CTR database application and assigns ICD-9-CM and abbreviated injury scale codes to these records.

Ms. Byrnes earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Northern Virginia Community College in 1998. She stays current with the trends in her profession by reading industry-related publications such as the American Journal of Nursing and Nursing Spectrum.
