Jennifer C. Doubell Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Nonprofit Executive Management

Jennifer C. Doubell Oversees Two Separate Nonprofit Fundraising Initiatives Totaling Nearly $90 Million



    Melbourne, Australia, December 21, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jennifer C. Doubell, executive director of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and director of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Center Project Capital Campaign, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nonprofit executive management.

Ms. Doubell has more than 22 years as a nonprofit executive. She became involved in her profession because she always had an interest in the nonprofit sector. She comes from a social work and criminology background, with a major interest in wanting to help people. The opportunity came along to get involved in the nonprofit ranks, and she started out as the director of development and external affairs at the Australian Graduate School of Management. She then moved to director of development and external affairs at the University of Sydney. From there, she became group manager of fundraising at Wesley Mission, and finally the national fundraising director at the National Heart Foundation, before moving into her current positions.

Specializing in strategic nonprofit planning, she is responsible for change management and fundraising at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation, with a target goal of $32 million. She oversees the management of the entire program, which includes a team of 18 full-time employees and 10 temporary staff members. Likewise, for the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Center Project Capital Campaign, she is responsible for achieving a target goal of $57.5 million over a four-year period. She attributes her success to her ability to build relationships with key evidence based professionals, her mentors and continuing education. Ms. Doubell helps mentor professionals in the industry, including smaller boards and charities.

Ms. Doubell received a Master of Arts in research methodologies from Macquarie University in 2010 and a Master of Science in economics, with a major in business, in 1983 from the London Business School. She is a member of the Fundraising Institute Australia and served on the Board of the Royal Australian College of Physicians' Research and Education Foundation for some 10 years.
