Dr. Zimmer has 33 years in the fields of radiology, neuroradiology and musculoskeletal radiology. His areas of expertise include diagnosing patients with neurologic and neuroskeletal disorders using MRI and CT scans. Prior to joining Mak Imaging, he served in the United States Army, Fort Carson, Colorado, achieving the rank of Major. After military service, he was director of neuroradiology at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. He attributes his success to hard work and dedication.

A graduate of Downstate Medical Center, he received his medical degree in 1967. He is a member of the New York State and New York County Medical Societies, the Roentgen Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the American Society of Pediatric Radiology, the American Society of Spine Radiography, and the American Society of Head & Neck Radiology.
