Bogutz, Esq., with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. In his more than fifty years practicing law he has been a partner in several law firms. His practice moved from criminal and civil litigation to corporate transactional representation and defense of professionals. He was also the first Chief of Litigation for Community Legal Services, and thereafter as its Deputy Director and Secretary of its Board of Directors. He also served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Pennsylvania Judicial System. During his entire career he committed a substantial portion of his time to professional and charitable causes.

As an educator, he co-created one of the country's first Clinical Legal Education programs at Villanova Law School and served as its first Adjunct Clinical Professor of law, where he also lectured on transactional law. He is a life member of its Board of Consultors.

Among other things referenced in previous Who's Who publications Mr. Bogutz's accomplishments included serving as Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and President of its Foundation, President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, President of its Foundation, and Chairman of its Bar and Insurance Trust.

In the American Bar Association, he served as chairman of many committees and commissions. He also formed the Metropolitan Bar Leaders Conference and served as its initial President.

He was a creator of The Pennsylvania Futures Commission on Justice in the Twenty First under the auspices of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He continues as its President since its inception.

He has received many honors and awards and enjoys life membership and emeritus status in a number of organizations.

He played a significant role in the formation and early stage development of Interdigital Communication's predecessor International Mobile Machines, a primary player in the development of mobile telephony and served for a period as its President.

He also served as President of the Mid Atlantic chapter of the American Friends of the Hebrew University and National Vice President, President of the De Mazia Foundation and helped champion its merger into The Barnes Foundation and Board Officer of the Jefferson Park Hospital and on the Board of The Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

He received his undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University and his law degree from Villanova University Law School. He was admitted to the practice of law in Pennsylvania State, Federal District and Circuit Courts as well as The United Sates Supreme Court.

Mr. Bogutz was married to the recently deceased Helene Carole Ross since 1960. They have two children, both attorneys, Marc and Tami Steinberg and three granddaughters, Stephanie, Jessica and Ariel Steinberg.

A lifetime fellow of the American Bar Foundation, the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation, and the American Judicature Society, Mr. Bogutz has also been a longtime member of such organizations as the American Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, in which he served in various capacities throughout his career.
