The song was co-written by Ronnie Dunn of Brooks and Dunn fame, Terry McBride from McBride and The Ride, co-writer of "If You See Him/If You See Her," and "Play Something Country," and Shawn Camp, co-writer of hits such as: "Would You Go With Me," "Firecracker," and "Two Piña Coladas."
