MUMBAI, INDIA, November 26, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- JetLite, Jet Airways' wholly-owned all-economy subsidiary, has unveiled a new product and brand identity as part of a re-branding exercise, which was initiated several months ago.

The colour light blue in the new brand represents the sky and connotes optimism and calmness. The word 'Lite', on the other hand, has been raised to connote an uplifting and brighter choice, with the use of the colour yellow further strengthening it by implying radiance and brightness in the new brand offering.

Executed in-house by Jet Airways' maintenance team, all the aircraft in the JetLite fleet will be painted in the new livery along with the counters and other related units. This will be accomplished over the next couple of months, as part of its rebranding exercise. The airline will also replace some of its old aircraft with new equipment over the next eighteen months.

In the days to come, JetLite will also introduce a new uniform for cabin crew and a new website, besides progressively upgrading the interiors of the aircraft in its existing fleet, among various other initiatives aimed at offering the airline's passengers a truly enjoyable flying experience.

Commenting on the new brand identity, Mr. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO, Jet Airways said, "With the launch of the new JetLite, we hope to create a brand that is fresh, strong and vibrant, drawing on the strong positive associations of its parent company in the minds of the travelling public, while retaining its unique, individual identity. In the days to come, we are confident that JetLite will emerge as the carrier of choice in the value-carrier segment."

JetLite will leverage and extend the strength of the 'Jet' brand, particularly the former's sterling reputation for world-class reliability and superior service, into a new product segment.

Jet Airways and JetLite recently forged a codeshare partnership, enabling both carriers to optimally leverage their respective networks while offering passengers enhanced online connectivity across more than fifty domestic and international markets.

With this partnership, Jet Airways' JetPrivilege (JP) members travelling on these codeshare flights now avail of a range of JP benefits, including the accrual of JPMiles based on class of travel.*

JetLite's mission is to be the leading value carrier in India with an unsurpassed reputation for on-time performance, while offering passengers true value, beyond mere low fares, in terms of a quality product and friendly service.
