VENTNOR NJ, October 14, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- By his own admission, he's 100% Irish but nonetheless, Polka's living Legand, Jimmy Sturr will headline Oktoberfest at Resorts Casino October 15 and 16th in Atlantic City. Over the past few decades, Sturr and his orchestra have played in cities all across the United States as well as a number of dates abroad. Touring within the United States, the band travels in its own customized tour bus. Some of the more memorable concert appearances for Sturr and his orchestra have included six sold-out performances at Carnegie Hall, two standing-room-only performances at Avery Hall in New York's Lincoln Center, and an appearance at the Palace of Culture in Warsaw, Poland.

His appearance at Oktoberfest at Resorts is Free, but you'll want to bring some spending money - the event will feature a variety of vendors, and authentic German food and beer will be served throughout the day. Anyone who attends Oktoberfest will have the chance to win a free cruise for two with Jimmy Sturr and Bobby Rydell on their Rock 'n' Polka Cruise aboard the luxury liner MSC Poesia in January 2012. Sturr will perform on Oct 15 from 3-4pm and then again from 6pm-7pm. On Sunday the 16th the reigning King of Polka hits the stage at 1:15pm-2pm and 4:15-5:15pm.
