Ralph Donovan worked on commission and made an error not uncommon to self-employed or commissioned taxpayers; he didn't have enough taxes withheld from his pay. When his tax liability grew, Mr. Donovan contacted a tax resolution company to help him. When they failed to help, his bank account was levied and the Donovan family was in jeopardy of losing their home. The Donovans had reached a desperate point, due to the lack of assistance they received from the first tax resolution company they had hired.
