-- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Jo-Ann Dalimonte, RN, PNP, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Dalimonte celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Dalimonte graduate from St. Elizabeth's Hospital School of Nursing in Brighton, MA in 1962. In 1963, Ms. Dalimonte married her best friend, Anthony Dalimonte. Over the next ten years they had four children, John, Denise, Mark, and Susan. Her life became quite busy, and her professional life was put on hold. In those years Ms. Dalimonte became invested in her family and community, and was an active member of the Stoneham PTA. She volunteered as a health educator at St. Patricks School in Stoneham, was a court advocate in a child custody case, volunteered for the Red Cross, and was a visiting resource for a foster child in Department of Social Services custody.

She was a private duty nurse at the Massachusetts General Hospital on the weekends when her children were very young, and worked as a college health nurse at Boston University, where she was introduced to the role of nurse practitioner. Ms. Dalimonte decided that she wanted to pursue nursing, and discovered a program that would fit into her life. The summer program at the University of Colorado offered a course geared to school and college health nurses. She spent three months studying, from June to September, for two years in a row. The program required Ms. Dalimonte to have a physician preceptor and to complete many projects to enhance her education while holding down a fulltime job in nursing. She also worked at the Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, MA and the Shriver Center in Waltham, MA, caring for children with disabilities.
Invested in her community, Ms. Dalimonte was born in Boston and spent her entire career in Massachusetts. Ms. Daliented sang in church, performed in church shows, and appeared in community theatre. She is an accomplished pianist, and placed as one of the 14 finalists in the 2014 Ms. Senior Florida Pageant. Ms. Dalimonte and her husband have retired to Cape Cod, MA and Florida, where she still enjoys an active lifestyle. She volunteers and plays the piano in the Villages Hospital lobby, and also plays the mandolin. She sings with a folk group on a weekly basis.
