Joel R. Teicher, MD, Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Health Care

    /24-7PressRelease/ -- ALBUQUERQUE, NM, January 25, 2012, Joel R. Teicher, Physician of Women's Health for ABQ Health Partners, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in health care.

Dr. Teicher has always been interested in medicine. Even though he received a Bachelor of Science in Modern European History from the University of Michigan in 1984, he went on to attend medical school. He has since gained more than two decades of experience, dedicating nearly all of that time to ABQ Health Partners, specializing in women's health care. He has become proficient in patient communication and is skilled in resolving problems that could not be fixed by other doctors.

Acting as a generalist in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Teicher conducts minimally invasive gynecological surgery and administers primary care and specialty treatments. Additionally, he teaches at The University of New Mexico's School of Medicine as a clinical associate professor. Hearing a "thank you" after a successful resolution of a medical problem and after every delivery of a child is what keeps him going each and every day.

Board certified by the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Teicher graduated with an MD from the School of Medicine of the Washington University in St. Louis. He went on to complete an internship and an residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The University of New Mexico Hospital.

Dr. Teicher is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the New Mexico State Health Board. He was named the Top Doctor in the Region of Albuquerque, N.M and has received multiple teaching awards from The University New Mexico. He attributes his success to being open-minded, flexible, and able to communicate with his patients, which results in high-quality medical care. As he advances in his field, he hopes to move into a permanent academic position that allows him to teach in the classroom as well as in a clinical setting.
