John B. Ciochetty Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals

    DELAWARE, OH, February 4, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John B. Ciochetty, Public Safety Officer in the Department of Public Safety at Ohio Wesleyan University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in criminal justice.

As a public safety officer at Ohio Wesleyan University, Mr. Ciochetty is responsible for patrolling the university's campus, conducting investigations, enforcing laws and university regulations, conducting traffic control at special events, and writing reports regarding incidents against property and persons. He also administers first aid/CPR to injured persons, coordinates activities with local fire and law enforcement personnel and trains new officers. Previously, he worked as a custom protective officer in federal, state and local facilities, as a probation officer in Ohio and West Virginia and has held other positions in law enforcement and education.

Mr. Ciochetty received a Bachelor of Arts from Marshall University in 1980. He also completed criminal justice coursework towards his graduate studies back in 1988. Mr. Ciochetty is a member of Alpha Phi Sigma-The national Criminal Justice Honor Society.

Mr. Ciochetty was certified in campus law enforcement at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN in 2003. He also holds certification in crisis intervention through the Delaware-Morrow Mental Health and Recovery Services Board and the Delaware City Police Department and he successfully completed a counter-terrorist education course through the Department of Homeland Security at Denison University in November 2003.

Mr. Ciochetty is listed in Marquis Who's Who in America and the World. He received a Letter of Commendation from the Delaware Ohio Police Department for assisting a Delaware City police officer in the apprehension of a violent offender.

In 1980, Mr. Ciochetty became a commissioned officer in the United States Army and Reserve where he received superior and excellent ratings.
