MIAMI, FL, July 7, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Johnny L. Sturdivant, Jr., Police Officer for Miami-Dade Police Department, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of law enforcement.

For five years, Mr. Sturdivant has dealt with crisis intervention situations. He is in charge of attending incoming 911 and non-emergency calls, managing cell locators for emergency situations and acting as the supervisor. In 2009, he received his Bachelor of Science from Kaplan University and graduated summa cum laude. He is a member of Alpha Beta Kappa National Honors Society. A national board certified emergency medical dispatcher, Mr. Sturdivant received a Citation from the MDPD Major for his Above and Beyond Actions for the Call Volume in the Everglades Fires. He attributes his success to the support he received from his mother.
