His vast and solid experience made him a well respected executive in the industry whose passion and dedication to work never fades. Known for his dedication and keen eye for detail, this brilliant Food & Beverage Executive from Austria never fails to draw admiration from both his guests and colleagues.
He is responsible for the development of annual business objectives of Royal Caribbean's Culinary Operations and managing the execution, he is responsible for the development, management and implementation of short and long term strategies to sustain hiring, training, and development needs in culinary operations with a focus on attracting and retaining culinary talent, as well as reducing turnover, just to name a few.
Among his many achievements at Royal Caribbean, Mr. Jungwirth has been responsible for the development, launch and ongoing success of all food operations throughout the fleet and has planned and led the opening of eleven new world class luxury vessels in the past 9 years including the worlds largest ships - up to 4,375 guests. With Royal Caribbean's recently launched Independence of the Seas, sister ship of Freedom and Liberty of the Seas, which boasts nine restaurants offering the widest variety of food styles and tastes in both classic and contemporary settings.

His upcoming projects and exciting challenges will include the development and launching of food service programs for Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas, which will have a guest capacity of 6,000 guests and 2,000 crew / employees.

Mr. Jungwirth is a certified European Master Chef, and amazingly he finds time to study and develop himself and has earned a Certification in Hospitality and Strategic Management from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration in New York State.
He is a member of several elite culinary organizations, including the "Chaine des Rotisseurs", ICCA (International Corporate Chef Association), has recently been awarded the "Culinary Order of Merit" from the World Master Chef's Society, has been nominated for the first Shipboard/ Superior Food Service "Culinary Excellent" by the American Culinary Federation and received the Cordon d'or - Gold Ribbon International Annual Cookbook & Culinary Arts Award for "Savor" - The Royal Caribbean International Cookbook.
