BROOKLYN, NY, November 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joseph Atuah, Pharmacist for the New York Harbor Health Care System of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Pharmacy Services. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Dr. Atuah serves as a pharmacist for the New York Harbor Health Care System, a government organization that provides health care services for American veterans, in addition to tertiary care. It also performs research and provides education and residency programs fully affiliated with New York University and Bellevue Hospital Center. Dr. Atuah's position entails handling patient diagnosis and distributing pharmaceuticals. He is a Pharmacist Clinician (PhC)/Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

In 2009, Dr. Atuah earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from Idaho State University. He is a registered pharmacist and a member of the Connecticut Pharmacists Association and American Pharmacists Association. In light of his accomplishments, Dr. Atuah was recently selected to be featured in Pro-Files Magazine. He was also chosen as a VIP of the Year for 2010-2011 by Cambridge Who's Who.
