    EVANS, GA, January 13, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Dr. Joseph F. Krupa, Principal Technical Advisor for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, vision, and excellence in modeling and analysis of the nuclear complex.

Dr. Krupa has 38 years of professional experience, with the last 16 of these years spent with Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, and its predecessors, at Savannah River Site, which deals in the disposition of nuclear materials and nuclear weapons components. Considered an authority on systems engineering, risk management, and alternative analysis, he performs alternative analyses and risk assessments for nuclear waste management and creates discrete event systems simulations for nuclear fuel reprocessing.

A product of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Dr. Krupa earned his Doctorate in Industrial and Systems Engineering in 2008. A graduate of Air Force Academy in 1968, Dr. Krupa received a fellowship from the Atomic Energy Commission to earn a M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of California in Berkeley in 1969. Expanding his knowledge base from chemistry to engineering, Dr. Krupa completed his M.E. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Idaho in 1984. He has served as chairman and president of local chapters of the American Chemical Society, American Society of Engineering Management, and the International Council on Systems Engineers. His plans for the future include continued modeling of the U.S. Nuclear complex for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, consulting work and teaching chemistry.
