Joseph Sahid Honored for Excellence in Litigation

Joseph Sahid brings more than 40 years' experience to his private practice

    NEW YORK, NY, September 28, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joseph Sahid has been included in Marquis Who's Who. A litigator with more than four decades of experience handling commercial disputes, Mr. Sahid continues to thrive at the head of his private practice, the Law Offices of Joseph R. Sahid. Prior to forming this practice in 1996, however, he developed his knowledge of the field at Barrack, Rodos and Bacine, where he served as a partner from 1995 to 1996, and at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, where he served as a consultant from 1994 to 1997, partner from 1977 to 1993, and associate from 1972 to 1977. Mr. Sahid's extensive resume also includes time as a consultant with the President's Commission on Campus Unrest, staff member for the National Commission on the Causes and Prevention of Violence, and lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard. Additionally, he has had his work published in professional journals concerning bitcoins and authored two books: "Rights in Concord" and "Law and Order Reconsidered."

To prepare for his career, Mr. Sahid earned a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University in 1965 and an LLB from the University of Virginia Law School in 1968, where he was notably the first in his class every semester. Further, he became bar certified to practice in the state of New York in 1973, and has been permitted to practice before the U.S. District Court in New York, the 2nd and 3rd Circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Sahid has since maintained affiliation with the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

In recognition of professional excellence, Mr. Sahid has been featured in every edition of Who's Who in the East between 2001 and 2015, and 10 editions of Who's Who in the World between 2005 and 2016. He was also published in more than 20 editions of Who's Who in America over the past 20 years and in numerous volumes of Who's Who in American Law.
