Dr. Pedersen applied networking skills and techniques commonly referred to today as "the secret" to land a career in the entertainment industry, including television publicity at Paramount on shows such as "Cheers," "Happy Days," "Taxi," "Mork & Mindy," and "Family Ties," to name a few. She ended her career as the bureau chief of the syndicated magazine show, "PM Magazine," putting celebrities on television.

She founded Express Success in 1981 and began sharing her steps to success with others through trainings, workshops and consultations. Working as a spiritual healer and consultant, she identifies subconscious negative thinking, memories, past lives and karma to help clients clear the cause of their personal challenges. This includes blockages concerning money, relationships, business, health and well being. By clearing their path for success, she helps them to open a channel to divinity. Dr. Pedersen discovered a missing link due to the inconsistency in achieving desired results more easily in some cases versus others. Learning and applying this spiritual process, she began to reap the rewards and saw a change in her results. She now helps her clients with this process called ho'oponopono, a Hawaiian term that means to correct and set aright, taught to her in 1986 by Morrnah Simeona, the woman who updated the ancient process for today. Since returning to her home state of New Jersey, she continues to run the Express Success Network and assist small business owners and sales professionals to increase sales in their networking and word-of-mouth marketing, but her primary focus is to help clear the cause of challenges to sales and increasing business with the use of this spiritual process.
