Judy McClelland Rower Honored for her Charitable Endeavors

Ms. Rower oversaw the management of an endowment fund to help people in need

    FINDLAY, OH, February 16, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Judy McClelland Rower, Former Member of the Board of Directors of The Associated Charities of Findlay and Hancock County has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in charitable organization management.

Ms. Rower has 46 years of professional experience, with five years on the board of The Associated Charities of Findlay and Hancock County. As an expert in education leadership, she works daily to establish innovative new programming for communities in areas of arts, education and community foundations. The Associated Charities of Findlay and Hancock County is a charitable organization that provides philanthropic services for individuals and families. "As board members," says Ms. Rower, "it is our responsibility to manage the endowment fund, spending only the dividends and interest and retaining the principal of the fund so that we may help individuals in need in perpetuity."

Looking back over her career as a whole, Ms. Rower attributes her success to her hard work and dedication to improving the community. Helping to establish The Findlay and Hancock County Community Foundation, starting the gifted and talented programs for the Hancock County Schools, and creating the arts in education programs for The Findlay Area Arts Council.

Ms. Rower received a master's degree in educational administration from Bowling Green State University in 1985 and a bachelor's degree, also from Bowling Green State University, in 1968. She maintains affiliation with the National Mortar Board, and she was recognized by Who's Who among America's College Students in 1968. In addition to the Associated Charities of Findlay and Hancock County, Ms. Rower sat on the board of directors of a number of charitable organizations, including The Community Foundation, The Findlay Arts Council, The Findlay Youtheatre, The Arlington School Foundation, The Hancock Wood Electric Cooperative Community Trust Fund, The Hancock Christian Clearing House and Bowling Green State University Arts Unlimited.
