/24-7PressRelease/ - CHICAGO, IL, May 05, 2008 - As part of National Volunteer Week, the Junior League of Chicago ("JLC") is please to announce that Trish Hoffman has been named one of its National Volunteers of the Year.

Ms. Hoffman has been honored for her contribution to the Junior League as a Sustaining Member and for her support of women and children's causes. Trish created the Primo Center Project, a partnership between the Primo Center for Women and the Junior League of Chicago. The Primo Center for Women and Children ("PCWC") is a 120-day homeless shelter located on the west side of Chicago.

The JLC/Primo Center Project focuses on assisting moms how to write a resume, search for a job, what to wear to job interviews and how to create healthy eating habits for their families.

"It's a great honor to be recognized as someone making a difference," said Hoffman, who's been a member of Junior League for 15-years and on the Primo Center Board of Directors since 2000. "When you look in the faces of the moms and kids at the Primo Center, it's easy to help those families acquire the skills and resources necessary for their future independent living. I'm happy that I have been able to bring these two wonderful organizations together to do something that changes the lives of others."

In addition to creating the JLC/Primo Center project, Ms. Hoffman has created two fundraisers that support PCWC. She founded and chairs the award-winning RedHot Midnight Kiss, an event that raised nearly $150,000 for the center in 2007, and co-founded the RedHot Greens Charity Golf Classic. Trish has also played a major role in launching the Primo Center's $7 million Capital Campaign with the goal of establishing PCWC as the preeminent shelter for homeless women in Chicago and become a model for centers around the country.

Hoffman is the Co-Founder of Blitz Group LLC, a Chicago-based boutique media company and a member of the Screen Actor's Guild. Trish lives in Chicago.
