Just Launched: All-Vegan White Chocolate Line

Quinoa and chia seeds are just two of the innovative ingredients found in the new line of "Like White" chocolate bars recently introduced to market by Rescue Chocolate, the 6-year-old company which donates all profits to animal rescue organizations.

NEW YORK, NY, December 17, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Quinoa and chia seeds are just two of the innovative ingredients found in the new line of "Like White" chocolate bars recently introduced to market by Rescue Chocolate, the 6-year-old company which donates all profits to animal rescue organizations.

The new bars and truffles contain a "superfoods" concoction that also incorporates cacao butter, cashews, organic cane sugar, and brazil nuts. Additionally, the truffles feature speculoos, a Dutch-inspired spiced shortbread biscuit.

Rescue Chocolate founder and owner, Sarah Gross, said her customers had been clamoring for a white chocolate product to complement the company's dark chocolate bars. "It took a while to develop because we wanted the new bars to live up to our other standards: vegan, kosher, handcrafted in Brooklyn, fairly traded, organic, gluten-free, GMO-free. And delicious too, of course," she said.

The Like White line consists of three varieties of 2-ounce chocolate bars and three different gift boxes of chocolate truffles.

On the dark chocolate side, Rescue Chocolate offers seven varieties of bars, two flavors of mini bars, and a gift box of salted caramel truffles. Each flavor is named after an issue important in the realm of animal rescue.

For example, there are bars called Peanut Butter Pit Bull (which aims to rehabilitate the image of this misunderstood breed), Pick Me! Pepper (urging people to pick out their next four-legged companion at a shelter rather than a pet store), Foster-iffic Peppermint (pointing out the benefits of fostering a homeless animal even if one can't ultimately adopt), The Fix (emphasizing the importance of spaying and neutering), and Mission Feral Fig (highlighting the humane management of feral cat colonies).

Since its founding in January 2010, Rescue Chocolate has partnered with hundreds of animal rescue organizations on fundraising, including In Defense of Animals, Farm Sanctuary, and local affiliates of the Humane Society. The beneficiary for 2016 will be the No Kill Advocacy Center.

Products are sold in retail outlets around the country as well as online. For further information, visit http://www.RescueChocolate.com.
