Ms. Agnew has seven years of experience in healthcare. In 2005, she joined Nurtur Health, a health and wellness management company that specializes in programs dealing with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart failure, coronary artery disease, diabetes and asthma. As respiratory clinical specialist, she is in charge of incorporating the national healthcare guidelines for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease into the clinical guidelines used for the respiration programs. Her responsibilities include managing clinical documents, conducting clinical call audits, ensuring that respiratory therapists present accurate information and adhere to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, interviewing potential respiratory therapists for the company, performing clinical case studies, writing the topic of the month for the respiratory health coaches, and assisting in product development. Ms. Agnew considers helping people live life to the fullest by empowering them with information about their condition to be the most rewarding aspect of her career. She attributes her success to her hard work, dedication and motivation to succeed.
In addition to being a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Ms. Agnew earned a Master of Healthcare Administration in 2006 from Texas Woman's University. She is also a Certified Asthma Educator. Her professional affiliations include the American Association for Respiratory Care and the National Board for Respiratory Care as well as the Association of Asthma Educators. She names the United Way as her favorite charity. Ms. Agnew looks forward to continuing her professional growth with Nurtur Health.
