Giving Back, a non profit agency, is committed to fostering intergenerational relationships through mentoring. Ms. Peterson is passionate and self-motivated, and loves assisting seniors and children to maximize their potential, and is working to on securing funding to expand her Giving Back mentoring programs. She has an impressive background in education and entrepreneurial management. She holds license in educational kinesiology, natural vision improvement therapy, and is a reading specialist..

She is a co-founder of The Learning Hui, and teaches Brain Gym®, learning styles, reading and writing skills to teachers and other professionals. Ms. Peterson works with individuals experiencing challenges in attention deficit disorders, head injuries, vision problems, and remedial and developmental reading needs. She offers management seminars for businesses and trainings for classroom teachers, and has designed five 3-credit graduate level courses for teachers. Ms. Peterson considers her greatest professional accomplishment to be starting her own non profit organization and watching it succeed.

Ms. Peterson earned her Master of Arts in English in 1969 and Bachelor of Arts in English in 1967 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is affiliated with the Educational Kinesiology Foundation. She has authored several articles on the Giving Back mentoring programs that were published in the Brain Gym Journal.
