Kathleen B. Stephany Recognized by Worldwide Branding for Excellence in Nursing Education

    HARRISON HOT SPRINGS, BC, January 13, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kathleen Stephany, Full-Time Faculty at Douglas College and Motivational Speaker, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing education.

Demonstrating many years of industry know-how, Dr. Stephany parlays her knowledge into her role with Douglas College, where she teaches courses in nursing ethics and leadership, and mental health and addictions. In addition her work as a professor, she also does motivational and inspirational speaking on topics such as leadership, empowerment, ethics, communications, and suicide prevention. To date, her greatest accomplishments are helping prevent others from committing suicide and publishing self-help books and textbooks on nursing ethics and empathy.

Dr. Stephany excels in her field because of her prior industry experiences and her educational background, which includes a diploma in nursing from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Victoria, a Bachelor of Arts is psychology and Master of Arts in counseling psychology from Simon Fraser University, and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Breyer State University. In order to maintain a connection to her field outside of her job, she affiliates herself with the International Association of Suicide Prevention, The Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association, and the Association of Registered Nurses of BC. In the coming years, Dr. Stephany intends to continue giving back. She wants to continue her motivational speaking on a larger scale.
