Kathleen Wilbur Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Project Management

    IRVINE, CA, February 4, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kathleen M. Wilbur, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in project management.

Although Ms. Wilbur originally wanted to become a CPA because she enjoyed accounting classes, once she got a taste of the information technology field, her course was set. After completing an internship with Monarch Bank., she was moved into the information technology department, where she set up banking solutions. She has since gained 29 years of experience, eighteen with Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., the last two as Executive Vice President and CIO.

She considers her areas of expertise to be building strong client relationships, and assembling and leading teams to execute with drive and commitment. Her responsibilities in her current role include overseeing IT for the organization and shared services across North, South and Central America to include infrastructure, applications, databases and tools. She is also tasked with establishing the all-overall direction for the organization as well as its strategic plan and budget. She enjoys working with business owners to determine which of their business strategies require IT implementations to compliment and ensure their success. Additionally, she is also responsible for all public facing websites and an eCommerce strategy expanded for global use.

In her spare time, Kathy enjoys the mountains--hiking, skiing and running. She is serving a second term on the Board of Directors for South County Outreach which focuses on preventing hunger and homelessness.
Ms. Wilbur holds certification in leadership from the Paul Merage School of Business of the University of California, Irvine.
