    ROCKLIN, CA, February 26, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Kathy Lund, Council Member of the City of Rocklin, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of public service.

Kathy Lund was first elected in 1985. She has served six one year terms as Mayor: 1989, 1993, 1995, 1998, 2003, and 2006. In March of 2006, Governor Schwarzenegger appointed Kathy to the State Mining and Geology Board. Ms. Lund specializes in transportation management and is tasked with reviewing budgets and attending meetings with constituents and the executive director of a local planning committee. She previously served on board of the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency for 22 years and was a member of the transportation committee of the League of California Cities for seven years.

Kathy also serves on The Placer County Transportation Planning Agency and The Sutter Hospital Community Advisory Committee. Additional appointments include: the Legislative Advocacy Committee, the Loomis Borders Committee, the Roseville Borders Committee, the Ruhkala Awards Committee, and Sierra College's City Coordinating Committee. Kathy has also served on the Placer County Economic Development Board: the Highway 65 JPA, SACOG; the League of California Cities Transportation, Communication & Public Works Committee; along with many regional and local committees.

In 2001, Assemblyman Tim Leslie named Kathy "Woman of the Year". In 1996, Kathy was awarded the Daughters of the American Revolution's "Excellence in Community Service Award". In 1993, Rocklin/Roseville Women in Business recognized Kathy as a "Woman of Achievement".

Kathy and her family have lived in Rocklin since 1976. Her children went to Rocklin schools, and now her grandchildren do also.
