    /Cambridge Who's Who/ - Lincolnton, NC, August 13, 2008, Kathy S. Armstrong, Licensed Practical Nurse for the Lincoln County Health Department, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nursing.

With an impressive background of more than 28 years of experience in nursing, Ms. Armstrong is primarily responsible for caring for patients with abnormal pap smears, scheduling appointments and educating patients on chronic diseases including diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. She attributes her success to her positive attitude, her desire to learn and being goal-oriented.

Ms. Armstrong is Program Assistant in Chronic Disease Management and the North Carolina Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program and has her Certification in Emergency Management from Federal Emergency Management Agency. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse through Cleveland Technical College in 1993 and is entering an LPN/RN conversion program to receive her Associate's Degree. Affiliated with the National Association for Practical Nurse Education and Service, Inc., Ms. Armstrong intends to earn a degree in public health and would like to work as a public health administrator.
