Ms. Nielsen has 15 years of professional experience, having recently become the Director of Lilly Oncology (Austria and Switzerland) for Eli Lilly and Company. Throughout her career, she has cultivated a comprehensive skill set that includes leadership, management and corporate strategy. On a daily basis, she is responsible for overseeing daily business operations for the oncology department, including sales, marketing, coaching and budgeting. She also puts her leadership skills to use by guiding the department in its mission of providing pharmaceutical products and high-quality medicine.
Looking back, Ms. Nielsen attributes her success to empathy and social competence. She became involved in her profession because she is a qualified chemist. She started her career working for a laboratory, and then moved into the pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Nielsen received a Ph.D. in chemistry from University of Würzburg in 1999. She is a member of the Lilly Global Women's Network. In years to come, Dr. Nielsen would like to obtain another managerial position in one of the M5 countries.
