Kenneth L. Hobby Celebrated by Marquis Who's Who for Achievements in Psychology

Driven by his passion for working with others, Dr. Hobby parlays more than four and a half decades of experience into his role with Harding University, where he has been a professor of psychology since 1989. After earning a Bachelor of Arts from Harding University, he started his career as a teaching fellow at Eastern New Mexico University. Two years later, he transferred to Clay County Schools, and stayed there for five years in the roles of school counselor and school psychologist. From 1976 until his most recent positions in 1989, he worked in the field of psychology for the Regional Education Service Center, the Craig County Special Education Cooperative, the Oklahoma Department of Health and Child Guidance, and the Grand Lake Mental Health Center. For 20 years, he also served as an adjunct professor of psychology for all psychology correspondence courses at Arkansas State University.

In addition to his current role in the field, Dr. Hobby also works with numerous law enforcement agencies as a consultant psychologist, the Social Security Service in Little Rock, Ark., as an examiner for disability determination, and the Zambia Christian College Board as a member. He is also affiliated with the American Psychological Associations, and attributes his success in the field to his extensive resume and educational background. This includes a Master of Arts from Eastern New Mexico University and a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. Throughout his career, he has earned many accolades for his work, including the Distinguished Teacher Award in 1997 and inclusion into Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, and Who's Who in the World. In the coming years, Dr. Hobby intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
