Kenny's Castaways Plays Host to New York City Tsunami Relief Concerts
Blues Bands Take the Stage For Tsunami Relief Concert

    /24-7PressRelease.com/ - February 19, 2005 - New York, NY, (NAMC), The Michael Packer Blues Band have joined with Kenny's Castaways to host the "New York City Tsunami Relief Concerts. It all takes place at the legendary Kenny's Castaways located at 157 Bleecker Street in the Bowery district of New York City. The concerts will take place on Sunday Feb 20, 2005 and Monday Feb 21, 2005; both events will begin at 2pm until closing.

The event consists of two days of concerts to benefit the victims of the Tsunami disaster. Donations collected at the event will be donated to the Unicef Fund. The response from the New York City music community has been overwhelming and over seventy musicians and bands have offered their services for this fundraiser.

The musicians that will be performing will vary in genre which makes this two day event even more attractive, as you can expect to see Acoustic, Folk, Jazz, Rock and Blues bands taking center stage.

Some of the bands that will be performing for this event include international blues star Michael Hill, The Michael Packer Blues Band, W.C. Handy Blues Awards nominee Michael Powers, Woodstock legends Prof.Louie and the Crowmatix, Latin Blues man Felix Cabrera, Rock Band Almighty Love Noise, Chaz Depaolo of the British blues band the Ground Hogs and New York City's veteran guitarist Jack O'Hara.

No admission will be charged for this great event but donations for the Tsunami Relief Fund will be taken at the door. So come down and support the "New York City Tsunami Relief Concert" this Presidents Day Weekend.
