Kerri A. Zeil Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Online Travel Services

    CHICAGO, IL, May 16, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kerri A. Zeil, Senior Director of Strategic Accounts for Orbitz Worldwide, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in online travel services.

Ms. Zeil is a highly respected travel industry professional who recently became a senior director of strategic accounts for Orbitz Worldwide. The well-known online travel company owns a number of global consumer travel brands and provides services that enable companies and travelers to research, plan and book travel on their own. Ms. Zeil currently works in the Distribution Partnership group which has an extensive portfolio of partner airlines, travel planning tools, and travel agencies. Known for her expertise in strategic planning and program management, Ms. Zeil possesses an operational mindset and knows how to get mini-businesses up and running. In addition, she excels at building relationships, setting long-term goals and ensuring continued growth.

This is Ms. Zeil's second tour of duty at Orbitz; she also held leadership roles with the company between 2000 and 2009. Prior to 2000 and between 2009 and 2011, she was an account director and strategist with Amadeus, which provides information technology solutions to the travel and tourism industry.

In her career, Ms. Zeil as been responsible for overseeing business development, strategic technology services, programs and product management and executing several global business initiatives, including some that involve industry-changing technologies and new business models. In addition, she is very comfortable in a highly demanding global business environment and has managed cross functional and cross cultural teams.

She currently serves as a partnership lead, working with the clients, technology leaders , project managers and their teams to launch an online travel agency for a strategic client. Ms. Zeil is further responsible for working with finance, product technology, marketing and resourcing; providing customer service insights; and managing the legal and financial obligations of the partnership.

Ms. Zeil "grew up traveling" and became involved in her profession after earning a Bachelor of Arts in international business from the University of Missouri. She also holds a certificate in International Business Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. She attributes her success to being a team player, along with having earned a good reputation and respect from her peers and colleagues. She is a member of the Women's Executive Network, Association of Corporate Travel Executives, Computerized Airline Sales and Marketing Association, and the Global Business Travel Association.

Looking ahead, Ms. Zeil intends to have the opportunity to mentor people within her company and industry. She would also like to sit on an advisory board and serve as a consultant to startup companies.
