Mr. Flanagan earned his Master of Divinity, with a concentration in theology, from Oral Roberts University in 1988 and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Rhode Island College in 1981. Mr. Flanagan is affiliated with the American Society for Quality and the Project Management Institute, Inc., and volunteers with Jacob's Well and various charitable organizations.

Mr. Flanagan stays current with the trends in his profession by attending seminars, webinars and conferences, reading industry-related publications and enrolling in continuing education courses. He believes that desktop virtualization is the most important issue facing his profession today. Mr. Flanagan hopes to become a chief information officer in the future.
