/24-7PressRelease.com/ - San Francisco, CA – (November 17, 2004) – kibop.com is the new online community that connects Hispanics worldwide – through networks of friends and family – for everything from following local soccer matches to finding an exercise partner to learning about travel destinations in South America. While “social networking online” has grown in popularity over the past year, kibop.com is reaching out to distinct international communities, namely the Portuguese and Spanish-speaking global community – from Los Angeles to Veracruz, from Brazil to Colombia to Spain.

What makes kibop.com so unique?

According to Jupiter Research, Hispanics are the largest and fastest growing minority group online. 49% of the 21.6 million U.S. Hispanic Internet users prefer online content in Spanish only or in both Spanish and English. kibop.com is the only online social network that caters to this part of the population.

kibop.com is opening up a gateway to many Spanish-speaking countries for Hispanic Internet-users in America. It is now easier and, in fact, possible for Hispanics living in the U.S. to reconnect with friends and family or meet new friends who share a common language and culture on other continents.

International connections are at the core of the kibop.com model. Mexicans in Los Angeles can meet and stay in touch with Mexicans in Veracruz. South Americans in Miami can make new connections with their national brethren in Colombia, Venezuela or Brazil.

A compilation of estimates reveal at least 10 million American consumers registered at social networking web sites and the future growth of this type of service is strong. kibop.com has finally brought this technology to Hispanic Internet users in the United States and beyond.

How does it work? Well, it’s not a dating service

kibop.com is the brainchild of Daniele Levy, a South American citizen residing in California. After being invited to a leading social networking website in English, Levy realized that it could be a good way to keep in touch with friends and family back home, while meeting new people in the United States. However, her friends demanded a website in their native language where they could meet other users from their country.

Levy set out to build one. This time, it would focus on the untapped Hispanic market.

kibop.com, launched in the second quarter of 2004, already boats more than 250,000 Spanish and Portuguese-speaking users worldwide. Daniele Levy, CEO of kibop.com, believes that this early success is a reflection of ignored market demand by some of the big players: “kibop offers a fun, private and safe environment for meeting other Latinos with similar interests and backgrounds, whether they are a few miles from you or a continent away.”

kibop.com is a free online networking service which allows users to connect to people through a network of friends and family for making new friends, dating, finding activity partners, networking with professionals in their career field, exchanging ideas, buying and selling things, and much more. As members of kibop.com, users create a personal profile that they can share with other users. They can then invite their friends to join, and their friends’ friends, and so on. Users can also chat live with other kibop.com members in their native language, browse and share photos, find old classmates, and keep track of friends’ birthdays.

Testimonials

Juan Pablo, 29, Single, from Chicago says:

I recently found kibop.com and have been enjoying it tremendously. It allows me to meet tons of new Hispanic people in the US and several other Latin countries. Better yet, I can see how I am connected to them through my current friends. It's very cool!

Zully, 26, Single, from Mexico says:

“A friend invited me to join kibop.com.mx, and I just feel in love with it. I have literally hundreds of friends on kibop, both old friends who I see all the time and new acquaintances who I hope will become friends for live. I really like it because it gives me a chance to connect with people all over the world.”
