Sweden has had a steady run of talented filmmakers over the years and Jarno Lee Vinsencius, Director of JLVPictures, is the latest with the ambition to release a film each year. He already has extensive experience in the music video industry and is following his dreams now producing, directing and writing the dark, suspenseful horror feature film 'Evil Rising'. Financed, by himself and girlfriend with $15,000, Jarno has completed all the filming within this strict budget and the Kickstarter project was launched to cover agreed post production, design, sound effects and editing. The project is offering film paraphernalia, costumes, hangman's noose amongst many other things, and for those who seriously want to make a name for themselves permanently in the IMDB database, an Associate and an Executive Producer title with the film. This sets JLVPictures well ahead, compared to other film projects on Kickstarter, with a low risk success for any of theirwell rewarded pledges.

Evil Rising is a horror film with the traditional feel of The Exorcist and Omen, where paranormal events quickly take over an investigation into a tragic accident that happened at the haunted Kurten Castle, to the now institutionalized cousin of one of the five investigators, Susan. Things rapidly fall apart when one of them gets possessed and calling for the help of their mentor, Father Thomas just increases the fear as he vanishes for no apparent reason. They are left to deal with the terror that unfolds from a 300 year old curse alone by themselves.

It features the passionate and edgy talents of the actors Peter Hallin, Kase Chloepecki and Demis Tzivis, giving an introduction to the attractive and present Emm Livia Surk and Anna Loft, all of whom were attracted to the idea through social media. Jarno ensured that from the original screenplay the screenwriting expertise of Biljana Slavkovic was used to enhance the script. The setting would have been Jarno's hometown, but unfortunately no interest could be found there in the film; however, they eventually found the ideal setting and wonderful town of Lubniewice, Poland. Many of the population there were keen to help cast and crew finish the full 23 days of shooting with one day requiring a willing 40+ extras to help out. After all production finished Jarno has ready a great set of sound editing and design professionals who will complete for film release for the GBP5.5K goal at Kickstarter, and all money (less Kickstarter fees) will go to them.

Full details of the Kickstarter project can be found at giving more information on the rewards for pledging and the progress. For fans of the film, Evil Rising has its own Facebook page at to see the latest trailers and film news and Twitter at
