/24-7PressRelease.com/ - January 22, 2005 - Electric Pocket's Busker MP3 player for Palm OS devices has received high marks from KickStartNews in a recently published review.
Busker scored high for its simple design, quick-hit controls and top sound quality; rivaling that of the top competing MP3 players. Busker was also praised for playing MP3s with odd headers or corrupt ID3 tags which other players often ignore and will not play.
"The major features in Busker are easy to use," said Howard Carson, Kickstartnews editor and product reviewer. "Busker also makes good use of the high resolution color displays on newer PDAs by displaying JPEGs and Album Art for MP3 tracks."
Busker enables Palm OS 5.x users to play MP3 tunes stored on a SD card and features a bold, bright and easy-to-use interface that provides the user with the fastest way available to access the tunes list and begin playing their favorite songs. The latest version of Busker offers support for "Podcasting," the process of pulling digital audio (most commonly MP3) files from Web sites down to devices where the audio can be played back at a listener's convenience. Other recent enhancements include support for Ogg and Wav playback, as well as PNG format album art.
"If you're new to Podcasts, they're just the next logical extension of Blogs," Carson says in his review. "Podcasts now cover everything from the bizarre and weird to op-ed, science and technology, music shows and you-name-it. Busker is great for listening to Podcasts and definitely trumps AM radio during my morning drive these days."
