ROCKVILLE, MD, May 23, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/
-- Just about every adult can remember the experience of going to the dentist for the first time. Hearing the sounds of drills and seeing all of those prickly tools laid out on a table can be a "tooth chattering" experience for a young person.
Potomac, MD pediatric dentist Dr. Ophir Alalouf & Dr. Saman Madani of Kids Teeth, LLC understand this experience and aim to provide their young patients with a kid-friendly environment where they can relax and have some fun. They both specialize in pediatric dentistry.
Services for children include cavity fillings and prevention, braces, early gum disease correction, teeth grinding therapies and wisdom teeth removal. Patients are taught the importance of brushing twice daily and flossing after meals. Most importantly, they learn to look forward to coming to the dentist instead of being afraid of the experience.
Dental Education for Kids
Though having a kid-friendly atmosphere is crucial, going to the dentist isn't just about fun and lollipops. Drs. Alalouf and Madani also seek to educate children on how to maintain good dental health well into their adult years. Each dentist is a kid at heart himself, which is why he relates so well with young people. His primary concern is providing children with a comfortable visit to his office.
"Common dentist-related adult problems, like dental anxiety, develop because the patient wasn't properly handled as a child. I make it a point to make the experience of a first dental visit as comfortable and natural as possible," says Potomac, MD pediatric dentist Dr. Alalouf.
Young patients can play video games or enjoy time with their peers in the tumble play area while waiting. Their parents have a relaxing space to read a magazine or chat with each other. The Kids Teeth, LLC website is virtually impossible to forget - KidsTeeth.net . It is full of interactive tools, videos and cartoons that further educate children on how to take care of their teeth, including Bongo the monkey and a kids' safari tour.
