As an expert in mechanical engineering, Dr. Lee has been a senior researcher with the Department of Convergence Technology Research at the Korea Construction Equipment Technology Institute (KOCETI) since 2014. Prior to this position, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Pusan National University from 2013 to 2014. From 2010 to 2013, he worked as the chief executive officer and chief technology officer of e-Metro Technology, Inc.
Dr. Lee began his career at Pusan National University, where he earned a PhD in Engineering. He later worked with the school as a junior researcher with the Research Institute of Mechanical Technology (RIMT) in 2009, and as a junior researcher with the Mechanical, Architectural, and Traffic Engineering Research Information Center (MATERIC) from 2010 to 2012. He was the team leader for Pusan National University at the 1st and 2nd Autonomous Vehicle Competitions, earning the Challenge Award and completing all of the courses.
Dr. Lee is a member of the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems, and the Korean Institute of Navigation and Port Research. He served with the Korean Army, earning an honorable discharge as a sergeant. He has authored and co-authored numerous works for professional journals and he has spoken at international conferences on robotics and unmanned vehicle technology. Looking toward the future, Dr. Lee plans to expand his expertise in intelligent construction machinery.
