Kim M. Ciesinski, Esq. Named a Matrimonial Law Professional of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who

Ciesinski, an attorney with Tabat, Cohen, Blum & Yovino, LLP, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Matrimonial Law. Inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor and only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based upon their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

An early interest in conflict resolution prompted Ms. Ciesinski to pursue a career in law, specifically the practice of family and matrimonial law. Having been admitted to the practice of law for over 21 years, Ms. Ciesinski has devoted her career to this area of the law and is presently an attorney with Tabat, Cohen, Blum & Yovino, LLP where she continues her specialization in family and matrimonial law and where she is incorporating mediation and collaborative law. In 1997, Ms. Ciesinski founded and maintained the Law Offices of Kim M. Ciesinski, P.C., in Melville, N.Y. Prior to that she was a partner in the law firm of Barrocas, Ciesinski & Parker, LLP, a Garden City, N.Y. firm also specializing in the practice of family and matrimonial law.

Ms. Ciesinski served as a board member of The Junior Welfare League of Huntington from 2000-2008 and as its President/Executive Director from 2006-2008. During her tenure as President, the fundraising endeavors instituted and led by Ms. Ciesinski more than tripled the organization's yearly budget. Also during this time, Ms. Ciesinski attended New York University in pursuit of her certification in philanthropy and fundraising through the George H. Heyman, Jr. Center for Philanthropy.

Ms. Ciesinski received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Hofstra University in l986 and her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in l989. In l990 she was admitted to the New York State Bar in the Second Judicial Department. Ms. Ciesinski is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, Matrimonial and Family Law Committee, Suffolk County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, The New York State Association of Collaborative Professionals and the Association of Fund Raising Professionals. In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Ciesinski is an aspiring landscape artist.
