Kimberly Lynn Merrill, RN, BSN Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Nursing Administration

    JOPPA, MD, August 13, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kimberly Lynn Merrill, RN, BSN, Nurse Administrator for Harford County Ambulatory Surgery Center, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing and administration.

Since she was 5, Ms. Merrill dreamt about becoming a nurse. Her wish was fulfilled when she pursued a Bachelor of Science in nursing from West Chester University in 1986. Through her strong education and support from colleagues and family, she has become a successful nurse administrator. After working for Johns Hopkins Hospital for 13 years, Ms. Merrill moved on to Hartford County Ambulatory Surgery Center as a nurse administrator six years ago. With 25 years of exceptional experience in nursing and management, she facilitates all necessary duties in order to create effective results. Her leadership and multitasking skills aid her in completing all administrative nurse duties and clinical work, overseeing all center activities including staff and employees, ensuring all government mandates are met on a daily basis and providing optimal customer service.

Away from the office, Ms. Merrill maintains professional associations with The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International and the Baltimore Nurse Managers Networking Group. Aside from her career, she is a Mary Kay instructor as well as a CPR instructor. Although she would like to retire, she is determined to continue to build the surgery center and stay close to home.
