/24-7PressRelease/ - CHARLOTTE, NC, June 04, 2008 - King Tiger Tae Kwon Do of North Charlotte, one of the Charlotte's leading martial arts education academies announced its title sponsorship of the newly named King Tiger 5K Run/Walk in University City. The run/walk will take place on Saturday, June 7 at 7:30 AM. This partnership, with race organizer Run for Life involves naming rights as well as a variety of marketing, promotional and charitable components.
"We're thrilled to be involved in an event that brings runners, spectators, and the community together in a positive and memorable way," said Terrance Evins, Owner/Head Instructor of King Tiger Tae Kwon Do. "As a martial arts academy, King Tiger Tae Kwon Do sees the parallels between running and overall wellness - which is what King Tiger stands for. It's also about having healthy building blocks, goal setting and staying committed until the goal is reached."
King Tiger Tae Kwon Do, one of University City community's most committed supporters, is the first ever martial arts title sponsor of the University City Run/Walk. As title sponsor, King Tiger Tae Kwon Do plans to encourage spectator participation by initiating its "claps of supports" special cheering sections along the racecourse. As "Encouragement Ambassadors", the school's 300 plus students and staff to help runners and event staff with other race activities.
