This new subgroup of the LIMSforum was established to allow LIMS software developers and other Laboratory, Scientific and Health Informatics professionals and users to post links to downloads of publicly available software through the Internet. These downloads are meant to provide Freeware, Trialware, Demoware and Open Source software solutions that are focused on Laboratory, Scientific and Health Informatics needs.
This is a great end user resource for trying out informatics software before making an expensive or risky investment. Everyone is encouraged to post interesting downloads they find on the Internet and vendors are encouraged to post their available downloads. This new organization has been created as a laboratory industry trade association for the education, standardization and promotion of the functional and professional areas of Laboratory Informatics. Our goal at the Institute is to offer an open Membership program to all individuals and organizations, which service or are employed within the laboratory industry. Our mission is to help all laboratories become more efficient and automated through the adoption of Laboratory Informatics applications and systems.
