/24-7PressRelease/ - HATFIELD, PA, September 10, 2008 - An Open House was held on August 21, 2008 at Laboratory Testing Inc.'s (LTI) recently expanded facility in Hatfield, PA. The testing and calibration laboratory constructed a 12,000 sq. ft. building addition and 65-space parking lot to accommodate additional employees and new equipment. The expansion was prompted by the need for more space to support steady sales growth and plans to add new materials testing, nondestructive testing and calibration services.
LTI customers, members of local ASM (American Society of Materials International) and ASNT (American Society for Nondestructive Testing) chapters and other businesses throughout the area attended the Open House to tour the facility, to observe testing, machining and calibration services and to speak with the company's technical specialists.
Laboratory Testing Inc. purchased the original 45,000 sq. ft. building in 1999 and added a 2-story 9,000 sq. ft. addition before moving into the facility in early 2000. The recent 12,000 sq. ft. addition brings the size of the facility to 66,000 sq. ft. The addition is home to the company's Calibration Lab and doubles the size of its Machine Shop. The company's nondestructive testing department also benefited from the addition by expanding into the space previously occupied by the Calibration Lab.
