It is the 75th year that the Vuelta a Espana has been running and the organisers explained that the stages have been made shorter since it first started, so that it is more entertaining for spectators.
Cyclists will start from La Maestranza Bullring in Seville on August 28th, with a night-time time-trial set up to kick things off.

They were full of praise for Seville, pointing out that visitors can check out a whole host of beautiful landmarks in the city, such as the Parque Maria Luisa, the Jewish Quarter and the Real Alcazar.
While visitors can enjoy cheering the athletes on as they battle the heat and the roads, the cyclists have a real task ahead of them, since the Vuelta a Espana is a 21-stage tour.
