/24-7PressRelease/ -- High-end, LA based women's label 'Lauren Elaine' announces the launch of the "Black Label Swim" collection for summer 2010. For the new venture, designer Lauren Elaine has imagined an ornate collection of 70's inspired couture swimwear and decadent swim separates merging the exotic with classic California beach-girl whimsy. Slated for a soft summer launch, a campaign shoot is scheduled for May 15th, with a red carpet launch event and debut runway presentation for May 24th.
The Black Label Swim Collection will showcase a variety of couture bikinis and swim separates with a focus on simple shapes embellished with plenty of details. "I've always found it difficult to find swimwear that is unique and feminine without it being over-the-top or tacky. My aim when creating this collection was to take my design aesthetic from the Black Label dress collection, and apply it to swimwear," says Elaine. "I wanted to give my suits an added regal touch while keeping them effortless- as no one wants to look like they're trying too hard-especially while in a bikini." Also included in the new line is a collection of gauzy resort wear pieces and après-swim cover-ups with vintage inspirations.
The 'Lauren Elaine' (LE) label recently showcased at LA Fashion Week with the "LA Rocks Week" event on March 22nd-debuting the F/W2010 Black Label collection with a theatrical runway show at the world famous Key Club in Hollywood. In addition to the Black Label couture dress line, the LE brand also features the casual "Laine" bohemian lifestyle collection, as well as the Black Label Accessories Collection- launched in January of this year.
