She became involved in her profession after gaining experience as a tax assessor for 25 years, and she attributes her success to her education, and experience as an assessor, appraiser and attorney.

Ms. Elliott received a JD from Western New England College in 1996 and an LLM in Estate Planning in 2007. In addition to her formal education, she is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association; Wheaton College Alumni Association; International Association of Assessing Officers.
