While working as an Assistant State Attorney in 2005, Mr. Meltzer met Steven Bell, an Assistant Public Defender. Mr. Meltzer became involved in his profession due to the influence of his grandfather, Morton R. Tolleris, who was a Supreme Court judge in New York. Judge Tolleris, a graduate of Cornell University Law School, was in private practice and had served as a law assistant to state Supreme Court justices before being appointed to the magistrate's court by Mayor Robert F. Wagner in 1957.
A wonderful example of excellence in his industry, Mr. Meltzer outshines others in the field due to his educational background, which includes a JD from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in 1999 and a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from American University in 1994.
