Leading E-Waste Organization to Introduce Programs in Winnipeg

The Electronic Recycling Association announces plan to open a full-service depot in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG, MB, May 10, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce plans to open a brand new location in the "gateway to the west", Winnipeg, MB.

The ERA, a not for profit organization, has been reducing unnecessary e-waste and its adverse environmental contribution through the recovery, refurbishment and donation of electronic and IT equipment since 2004. The ERA currently has locations in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Montreal and Toronto.

"We are excited to announce we will soon be providing our services to this rapidly growing community. Soon we will have our trucks, forklifts, hard drive shredders, and refurbishing centers conveniently located in Winnipeg. There is a real need in the community for this type of service, and we are looking forward to contributing to Winnipeg's overall sustainability," says Bojan Paduh, president of the ERA.

No longer will old computers be trashed, shredded and melted, before being given a chance for a second life. The ERA will work with individuals and corporations to reuse and refurbish computers, laptops and other electronic equipment, and make valuable technology donations to local communities and throughout Manitoba.

The ERA's Winnipeg location is slated to open in late 2015 or early 2016.

About the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA)
Established in 2004, the ERA is a non-profit organization directed to reduce the environmental impact of improperly discarded toxic electronic waste by offering accessible services to help corporations and individuals manage their retiring IT assets. With reuse being the ERA's top priority, every item that is received is examined for any remaining productive life and refurbished for reuse. True end of life items are transferred to accredited recyclers where a nil landfill contribution can be assured. The ERA is committed to supporting local charities and individuals in need through the provision of electronic equipment to charities and individuals alike.
