OXFORD, UK, May 17, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tutors International announces record numbers of enquiries from parents seeking private tutors to provide intensive exam preparation for the summer 2009 exam period. However, many are getting in touch with only weeks until the exams and often are disappointed to discover that their efforts have come far too late to be beneficial to their child. Adam Caller, founder of Tutors International, warns parents that more forward planning is necessary. For more information, visit http://www.tutors-international.com or call +44 (0) 1865 435 135.

"It's been a busy few weeks, and some parents are really quite desperate," commented Adam Caller, founder of Tutors International. "I do feel for them, but there is only so much that can be done so close to the exams and it's not a service that we are focused on. We can offer intensive tuition in some cases, depending on location and subject, but we specialise in the provision of full-time private tutors, which is a very different service."

When asked what the parents in this situation should do, Adam replied; "I think that planning ahead as far as possible is the only solution. Leaving it to the last minute to arrange exam tuition is stressful in terms of the arrangements and can be stressful for the student, who doesn't know whether they will get the help they need. If the tutor isn't right for the child, there isn't time to replace them. Ideally, parents should be planning a year ahead and securing regular private tuition - perhaps supplementing schooling in weak subjects in particular. This would ensure that the exam preparation is calm, that the material has a chance to sink in and will remain in the student's memory, instead of being forgotten the day after the exam."
