Learning Tree Schools Celebrates Its History as a Leader in Sandy Daycare

Executive directors Bethany Hosking and Amy Moyes of Learning Tree Schools, a heralded Sandy daycare, celebrated their eighth anniversary and continue to add to the center's rich 33-year history.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, August 30, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Utah's Learning Tree Schools' executive directors Bethany Hosking and Amy Moyes celebrated the eighth anniversary of their leadership in July after taking over the Salt Lake City area facilities of the well-known Sandy daycare center.

Founding director Jane Hosking, Bethany's mother, designed many of the programs and value systems when she began the business in 1979 as a preschool. Hosking and Moyes acquired the institution when the founder retired.

"My experience, skills and applicable knowledge set come from growing up in the Learning Tree Schools environment," says Hosking, an employee since 1994.

From training the child development center staff to implementing new program protocols to talking to parents and understanding their family life, Hosking and Moyes take pleasure in their work. Helping kids develop their academic, social and physical skills generation after generation makes the experience supremely rewarding.

"We love what we do," said Moyes, a Learning Tree Schools employee since 1992.

She and Hosking say they want children to make valuable use of their time every day by not only learning, but also while having fun and building their social skills with other children.

"Children can learn so much more than we realize," says Hosking who runs a West Jordan daycare center. "We fill their days with opportunities to learn and caring adults to nurture them, and they continually amaze us."

The Millcreek child care programs at Learning Tree Schools are tailored to infants to elementary school age. Each age group has specific learning goals and teachers develop an array of activities to help them reach those goals. Hosking knows that parents looking for child care want more than basic babysitting, they want a child care center that focuses on the whole child and has innovative classes that help children reach their full potential.
