In keeping with the homebuilder's well-known "Everything You Want. Everything You Need." philosophy of simply including the most highly desired features and upgrades as standard at no additional cost to the homebuyer, Lennar's PowerSmartSM Homes will now also provide the homebuyer with a certified green energy efficient home at no added cost as well. In fact, Lennar's PowerSmartSM Homes are designed to save the average family up to 40 percent on their energy consumption.
Lennar PowerSmartSM Homes in Minnesota will receive both ENERGY STAR for Homes certification and Environments For Living Certified Green certification. In order for homes to receive these certifications, the builder must meet stringent requirements that surpass what is required under current conventional builder codes.
Certified homes offer more efficient windows, lighting, appliances, insulation and heating and cooling systems. Homebuyers will experience a noticeable difference in energy efficiency, durability, indoor environmental quality and water efficiency.
