A 28-year veteran of sales and retail management, Mr. Smith was recently promoted to his current position at the Cleveland Avenue location, a bigger store which boasts a larger selection of wine and beer. As wine buyer, he works with the company's head buyer in the corporate office, as well as with statewide wine and beer distributors, in the selection of wines and beer that will be sold at the store. His primary responsibilities include managing sales, working with regional wine distributors, ensuring quality control, overseeing inventory, taking proper care of wines and beer, and maintaining displays and shelves in three sections with over 1,000 wine selections representing 13 distributors and 16 varieties. Mr. Smith is proud to have advanced sales for the store during his tenure, by adding new product lines and helping to increase quarterly sales by 10% for Anheuser-Busch. He considers these his greatest professional accomplishments to date, and attributes his success to his hard work and dedication.

To keep abreast of trends in his profession, Mr. Smith attends night classes about wine. He aspires to become team leader of sales for a wine distributor, or rise to the position of head buyer for a grocery chain. Away from work, he maintains a website devoted to gothic intrigue.
